Destination
The path from the car park leading to the peak sitting at 2,518 metres.
Fatigue.
By the end of the day our legs were toast, from the uphill slog.
Guidance.
The markers leading up to the summit, which at this point was engulfed in clouds.
Boulders. The final stretch to the summit is spent scrambling and climbing, this section is known as “the lizard” which lasts for about two hours.
Rubble.
A large part of the descent was attempting to graciously traverse the scree field without falling every 5 metres. Many opting to sit and “slide down” including myself.
